Description
(1858 - 1938) Very early official within the Nazi Party, serving as first chairman of the NSDAP's Committee for Investigation and Settlement and as the early Reich Organization Leader of the NSDAP until succeeded by Gregor Strasser. Resigned due to rising differences with Hitler. Very rare T.L.S. 'Heinemann' as Reich Organization Leader on early NSDAP letterhead, 1p. 4to., Munich, Jan. 10, 1937, addressed to the Gern-Nymphenburg section of the Nazi Party regarding the membership of a former S.A. stormtrooper, whose party membership was revoked due to his involvement in another organization. Loosely translated from German, the document reads, in part: '...Georg Meiler, who was excluded from the NSDAP and Nymphenburgerstr. 174 requested his resumption of membership in the party and reentry into the S.A. Neuhausen. He declares that he no longer belongs to the F.K.B., whom he has only visited a few times at the suggestion of some comrades...it has been asked whether there are concerns about Meiler and his admission into S.A. Neuhausen. If there are none, the section and especially the S.A. Gern-Nymphenburg should be informed of this so that hostility to the Meiler does not occur...' Heinemann signs at the conclusion in black ink. Minor chips at left edge, unevenly toned at right margin, else very good.
