Description
A pair of silver dining items in the Manhattan pattern for United States Lines steamship, both top marked with engraved US Eagle logo. This pattern was first used on the pattern's namesake, SS Manhattan, and eventually ended up being used on the SS United States. Includes a 9 7/8" oval bread tray dated 1932, bottom stamped United States Lines International Silver 05044 10 IN 1932 Patent Applied For. The tray shows general signs of use with scratches, minor spots of discoloration, and dings along the bottom edge. A 6 7/8" round under liner tray, bottom stamped United States Lines Gorham silver Soldered 015396, showing standard signs of use and moderate scratches. Both have a fairly nice, bright appearance.
