Description
One of the cleanest pairs of locomotive classification lamps that we've run across here at Rail & Road over the last few years. The story from our consignor is that these were discovered in storage at a Chicago and North Western roundhouse and rescued without having ever entered regular service. The condition supports that story, or this is one of the best restoration jobs that I've ever seen on a pair of class lamps. EVERYTHING is clean. The paint is outstanding, no signs that these were repainted. There is one coat of paint on these. The brass is clean, the hardware is clean, the inner and outer lenses are clean. It's ALL clean. The electrical plugs appear to be a bit newer style as does some of the hardware. A great pair for display or to enter service on a locomotive. See photos for best description.
