Description
A deck of playing cards circa 1890 for Chicago & West Michigan Railroad. The deck is given a V-7, Extremely Rare, rating in Bollhagen's book. The C&WM is a defunct railroad that operated in the state of Michigan between 1881 and 1899. It was one of the three companies which merged to become the Pere Marquette Railway. The deck is held in a plastic case and has a partial cover of the original box. There are no Jokers in the deck and the Jack of Hearts, King of Diamonds, and 10 of Spades are missing. The cards show general signs of use with varying degrees of mild to moderate discoloration. The King of Hearts and a few other cards may have light corner creases. See photos for best description.
