Description
A William & Mary walnut high chest, probably Southeastern Pennsylvania, circa 1700-1720
Provenance
In two parts, the upper section with molded top, over two short drawers, over three graduated long drawers, with paneled sides, the lower section with waist molding, over single long drawer, with arched apron, on turned baluster legs connected by scalloped stretcher, on bun feet.
H: 60 ¼ in. W: 42 ¼ in. D: 22 ¾ in.

Condition
lot 15: a couple patches to top molding on upper section; replaced brasses, one drawer missing escutcheon; once had Quaker locks; upper left-most drawer with replaced section of drawer side, although somewhat old; locks have been removed; legs and stretchers to lower section probably replaced; patch to left-facing front edge of apron section; some losses to waist molding; old insect to back and support blocks to lower section; some occasional old scuffs, small chips, and gouges to wood along lower section commensurate with age and use; left-facing side of upper section with missing piece to back edge
