Description
1 brown silk satin w/ brown velvet covered domed buttons, piped neckline, armscye & waist, 1860, B 38”, W 28”, L 58”, (5.5” opening front right skirt, light wear to hem & cuffs, small pulls & light scuffs, few loose stitches b/t trim) excellent; 1 brown & cream striped silk taffeta day dress w/ brown faille & satin covered CF buttons, black bobbin lace & woven chevron braid faux cuff, piped round neck opening, armscye, long sleeve & W, slightly trained cartridge pleated skirt, original polonaise overskirt & self belt w/ elongated CB tabs, edged w/ woven fringe, 1868, B 32”, W 22”, L 54”, (light underarm discoloration, pinholes around collar & overskirt W, few tiny holes/stains, pulls, few loose/missing buttons) very good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum.
