2-pc brown ribbed silk w/ satin piping to turn back cuffs & bodice edge, cast glass CF buttons, faux filet cuff ruffle, corded passementerie w/ chenille & thread fringe & tassels, triple row of box pleated flounces above hem, linen & cotton twill linings, c. 1885, bodice B 38”, L 21”, skirt W 30”, L 42”, (underarm discoloration, shattering, 1 button missing, some draping stitches fallen out of skirt, some loose trim at collar) fair; 2-pc cotton pique w/ cotton braid applique’ to neckline, CF, cuff, peplum & skirt, Heilmann embroidered flounce, drilled MOP ball buttons, c.1888, bodice B 32”, L 18”, (period repairs around upper bodice up to 3.5”, CF W darts & sleeve seams let out, light discoloration, few pinholes, no closures at Wband) good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
