"MAD #3 indicates further advancement toward a unique identity... there are still a couple of EC genre parodies... but there are also two stories skewering popular media subjects: 'Dragged Net' (which, although the show was on television at this time, does not present caricatures of the stars, instead portraying the leads as Sherlock Holmes and Dick Tracy parodies!), and 'The Lone Stranger!'
