Nobody knows what the heck it means, but everyone who reads the enigmatic note gets all riled up. The story seems like a satire of something – but of what? Google Translator identifies the mystery phrase as linguistically close to Arabic: "ma naeish tuna haliin hadhih" ("What we live in is tons"). Ultimately, the story is the comics equivalent of an addled wino cornering you on the bus and yammering randomly in your ear.

Mister Mystery experienced growing pains with its first few issues; only with the fourth ish does the mag find its true métier: bondage, contes cruels, violence, gore, and what George Suarez describes as "off-the-wall storytelling coupled with somewhat crude but functional artwork." – Tales Too Terrible To Tell #9.
