A witch doctor boils heads in his hideous hot-pot as a blonde-in-bondage (blondage?) and her useless beau gape in helpless horror. Publisher Stanley Morse, the dreckmeister's dreckmeister, filled the penultimate ish of Mister Mystery with reprints, cutting his losses as the pre-Code era drew to a close. Morse had the cynical marketing savvy to cloak his reprint rag under a compelling cover, thus pulling a final fast one on the readers he held in such contempt.
