GPAnalysis: A 6.0 sold for $456 in 9/20; a 5.0 sold for $342 in 1/23.
Credits: Cover: Charles Biro. Scripts: Dick Wood and Robert Bernstein. Art: Rudy Palais, Jack Alderman, Vernon Henkel.Squealers and Stealers: A getaway car speeds off as a gory corpse topples through an open door, a note pinned to its chest with a bloody shiv: "I'm a dirty rat and got what was coming to me." This brutal image of gangland violence may have been swiped from the closing scene of Warner Brothers' 1931 film The Public Enemy, in which Jimmy Cagney's "Tom Powers" character suffers a similar fate. Our fave '80s pop-punk rocker, Billy Idol, swiped the same scene for the opening of his classic 1985 "Catch My Fall" rock video, demonstrating Picasso's dictum that "good artists borrow, great artists steal."______________________________________________________________
