Juan Sanchez Juarez was born in Mexico and is the great grandson of Benito Juarez, President of Mexico from 1861–1865. He studied at the Real Academia de San Carlos. His work is represented in prestigious collections internationally, including the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, Philadelphia Museum of Art and the London Art Institute. Gallery exhibitions include Circle Gallery NY, San Diego and New Orleans. In 2004, he was honored by the Consulate of Mexico in Las Vegas and The City of Las Vegas Dept of Leisure Services Cultural Affairs Division, at an exhibition of his paintings and drawings entitled Panoramas del Cuerpo – Landscapes of the Body at the S2 Art Center and Atelier introduce by Mayor Oscar Goodman.
