Barry Kieselstein-Cord Kaycee Sunglasses W/Diamond, Ruby and 18K Yellow Gold Alligator Ornaments in BKC Lizard Skin Case - These one of a kind sunglasses were made by world renowned jeweler Barry Kieselstein-Cord. These Kaycee glasses are a rare find in this configuration of tortoise shell patterned arms and black titanium frame with nearly 2 inch long, solid 18k yellow gold alligator ornaments. The alligators are embellished with approximately 0.65ctw pave set diamonds and ruby eyes. The glasses read "Kieselstein-Cord", "Kaycee" and "Titanium" on the inside of the arms. There is a BKC exhibit in the MET Museum and it has been one of the most loved exhibit there for many years. There are a similar pair of glasses in the exhibit, but there are no diamonds or rubies. In our professional opinion, these are museum quality sunglasses and is one of the finest BCK pieces we have ever had the pleasure and honor of selling, they are truly works of art. The glasses are in excellent condition and will come housed in a Kieselstein-Cord black lizard skin case. Kieselstein-Cord was founded 1972 by photographer Berry Kieselstein-Cord. The designer has worked with Calvin Klein and Perry Ellis, and has been collected by Eric Clapton, Sir Elton John, Karl Lagerfeld, and many more. His work is in the permanent collections of The Louvre, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and others. The brand has been featured in publications such as Elle, Forbes, and Vogue, and has been featured on "Sex in the City", "Law & Order", and others.
