A beautiful and unique blackware strainer jug featuring 3 folded feet and a broad body crowned by a petite bowl with 3 straining holes and a tubular spout. Incised, abstract designs adorn the shoulder, while an arched handle rises opposite the spout and another connects spout to shoulder. The intriguing shape of this vessel is vaguely zoomorphic, creating a lively form and a striking silhouette! Size: 6.4" W x 3.8" H (16.3 cm x 9.7 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report will accompany the item upon purchase.
