Japanese wood carving of Turtle, Meiji period. The reptile almost completely outstretched with its shell, its head turned to his partner and its legs drawn back.

11"h x 15"w (27.94 x 38.10 cm)

Condition: Tail of one turtle missing as seen in the photo.
Provenance: Property from an estate in Connecticut.
