Alexander Young A.Y. Jackson, Canadian, Quebec, 1882 to 1974, oil painting on masonite board, Georgian Bay, 1953. Signed lower right. Framed. Additionally inscribed, titled, and dated, on the backside. Alexander Jackson is known for Landscape and marine painting. Alexander Young Jackson was best known as one of the members of the Group of Seven, the famous group of Canadian modernist painters. Jackson made a significant contribution to the development of art in Canada, and was instrumental in bringing together the artists of Montreal and Toronto. One of a kind artwork.

Dimensions: Frame: 14 1/4 x 11 1/4 in. Image: 11 3/4 x 8 3/4 in. All measurements are approximate.
