Biörklund's second state (of 2); Usticke's second state (e) (of 4), before the Basan editions; White and Boon's second state (of 2); New Hollstein third state (of 4), with the long, accidental vertical scratch to the right of St. Philip's head. Shield with "Paris" watermark (Ash/Fletcher 39 A). Trimmed on or just inside the plate mark. A very impression, richly-inked with strong contrasts, with all the details distinct and with traces of burr in the beard and on the feet of St. Philip. Bartsch 98; Biörklund 41-E; Hollstein (White and Boon) 98; New Hollstein 186.
