Description
McFee, Henry Lee (American, 1886-1953), Modernist Interior Still Life, undated, 1920s or 1930s, pencil drawing on paper, signed lower left, 12.5 x 11.5 inches, matted and framed 23 x 21 inches. Provenance: Frederick Keppel & Co.; Vincent Price collection, Sears; Vincent Price personal collection; subsequently purchased from Victoria Price, Vincent and Mary Price's daughter; with labels and inscriptions, in Vincent Price's hand, on the back of the frame. The artist was one of the earliest American Cubists, and a prominent member of the Woodstock Arts Colony. His work was shown in 6 different MoMA exhibits in the 1930s.
Condition
In seemingly good condition, unexamined outside of the frame, with a few small spots of visible discoloration.
