Bursztynowicz, Henry (American, 1922-2001), Based on Emily Dickinson's poem, I?m Nobody! Who are you?, brazed and brass coated metal reliefs in four parts, approximately 39.5 x 58 inches overall, Provenance: The Estate of Henry Bursztynowicz, a regional Western Pennsylvania sculptor working around the height of the abstract expressionist movement. Bursztynowicz received his education from the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University), the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan and Instituto del Arte, Florence, Italy. He was a faculty member at the University of Missouri and he taught at Pittsburgh Arts and Crafts Center (now Pittsburgh Center for the Arts). Pittsburgh Center for the Arts honored Henry Bursztynowicz with a retrospective of his works in 2009.
