Description
An ancient Chinese Neolithic period Liangzhu cylinder shaped and hand carved ceremonial tube or cong made of white Jade. The tube encased in a square prism that gently tapers from top to bottom. Simple masks with circular eyes, on the sides. Mounted on a stand. The cong probably signified wealth and social status. Ancient Antique Asian Ceremonial Tubes, Ritual Object, most produced by the Liangzhu culture, circa 3300 to 2250 BCE, Late Neolithic period, circa 5000 to 1700 BCE.
