A large antique Chinese hand carved White Jade bi disc amulet sculpture representing a flat carved and polished disc with a circular hole in the center. The bi disk is a Chinese symbol of heaven and wealth. Mounted on a steel stand. Circa: early 20th century. Chinese bi discs are flat jade discs with circular holes in the center. In analyzing the bi disc meaning, some historians say that is a representation of heaven; they are often found with heaven and earth like depictions. As a counterpoint symbol, jade congs, straight tubes with circular centers and square outer sections, complete with convex sides, are said to symbolize earth.
