Item Details

Description

A George III Inlaid Mahogany Oval Writing Table, Fourth Quarter 18th Century. Having an inset leather writing panel to the top above a frieze fitted with two false drawers to either side and two genuine drawers to either end, raised on tapered square legs.

Dimensions: 30in; width 37in; depth 31 1/2in.

Condition

Structurally sound. The leather top is an older replacement with abrasions and rubbing to gilded border. General marks, wear, rubbing, surface scratches and small losses to veneers throughout. Minor repairs to inlay throughout. The brass hardware with toning. One drawer missing an octagonal bail to the pull. No keys.
