Condition
The work is hinged along the upper edge (verso).
There is some slight wear to the edges and corners. Artist's pinholes to the upper and lower centre edges, with some associated staining from previous tacks. A few lines of miniscule craquelure, with a tiny paint loss, to the white gouache of the dog's snout. There is some mount staining to all four outer edges and the sheet has darkened slightly. Some small spots of foxing and surface dirt are visible. Some of the pigments appear to have faded gently.
In our opinion, the work is in overall very good condition.
