Condition
The canvas is lined. There is paper tape to all four outer edges. Examination under Ultra-Violet light reveals some historic spots of retouching, mainly to the upper margin, with some smaller spots around the boat.
There is frame rubbing to all four outer edges. Some small scattered discreet paint losses are present in places. Some localised areas of mild paint separation, mainly to the foreground, with a few lines of hairline craquelure in places. A faint vertical stretcher bar mark to the centre. One small area of staining to the upper centre, with some scattered accretions and areas of surface dirt visible.
In our opinion, the work is in overall good condition and presents well.
