An antique bronze plaque. Features a figural relief portrait profile of former German emperor Wilhelm II. Framed by a laurel leaf arch repousse, and flanked by figures wielding swords on either side, with an eagle positioned below. Dated 1914-1915, and reads "Durch Kampf Ozumsiego" at the bottom center. No other apparent maker marks. Provenance: This item originated from a distinguished auction event hosted by Sotheby's in October 1995, designated as LOT 3626 at the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a part of the royal collection belonging to Margrave Max von Baden (1933-2022), a prominent figure in European aristocracy and the first cousin of Prince Charles III. This auction showcased a selection of valuable items from his esteemed collection.
