Condition Notes: Here we have a wonderful lot of Tamara Comolli jewelry from her esteemed India collection featuring rare snakewood! Snakewood, scientifically known as "Brosimum guianense," is a remarkable hardwood native to the forests of Suriname and other parts of South America. Esteemed for it's incredibly dense and hard nature, snakewood is most notable for its unique, serpentine pattern that closely resembles the skin of a snake, hence it's name. The pearls have a particularly nice luster and consist of a stud design complete with friction backs.
