Item Details
Description
The bobcat sits perched on a branch growling to mark its surrounding territory. He extends his claws preparing to mark a tree designating a corner of his border. He is very territorial and other animals should know better than to mistakenly wander into a bobcats backyard. Though his size is only about twice the size of a house cat, the bobcat can surely fend for itself in the wild. Some bobcats have been known to kill adult deer in the winter months when smaller game is more scarce. The sculpture is mounted on a solid black marble base and is exceptionally detailed; every hair on the bobcat and every knot in the tree branch is defined. It is made of 100% bronze and cast through the "Lost Wax Method." The piece is signed and bears the seal from the European Bronze Finery.
