Loyd Haberly (1896-1981) was an American poet, illustrator, printer, binder and educator. He started the Seven Acres Press while studying in England, and then later served for the Gregynog Press before moving back to the United States. Haberly produced 35 limited editions for which he was the author, illustrator, printer and binder.
This copy of Artemis is a lovely example of the continued influence of the Arts and Crafts movement, particularly in fine bookmaking, at a time when that was not the leading style.
