清 白玉饕餮紋獸耳活環三足爐
The compressed globular body is supported on three cabriole feet carved with an animal mask, body carved in low relief with two taotie masks on each side, interrupted by a pair of pierced handles in the form of mythical beast head with a loose ring. The domed cover is carved in shallow relief with similar taotie masks, surmounted by a ring-shaped finial. The stone is of an even white tone with minor russet and milky inclusions. Qing Dynasty period.

Provenance: Private collection from Northern California
The Nanjing Museum in China houses a collection of white jade carved censers with many similarities.
