A superb, carved Chinese white jade lidded censer. Of semi-rectangular bulbous body, raised on three cabriole low legs. The shoulder gently tapered on to banded rim, supporting the domed lid crowned with simply bud finial. Two open-works carved PiXiu everted from the dome lid, in pursuit of the centralized flaming pearl above the finial, creates an arch over the lid. Two PiXiu heads carved out from the shoulder, suspending open-works carved archaic scrolling motifs downward to the foot base. Four ascending PiXiu raised from the foot base toward shoulder on each corners. The ovoid belly and lids are finely polished, revealed the jade superb color and quality, the design are simple, yet elegant. This white jade censer conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese jade wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the cleanness, the color, the shape, design, and distinct. The jade is fine and exquisite, the carving smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.
