BIOGRAPHY:
Gian Carlo Polidori was best known as a painter of ceramics, who was also a competent and indeed accomplished watercolourist. As with all painters of this genre the details and vibrant colours characteristic of ceramic art translate well when applied to the watecolour medium. His artistic talents were noticed and nurtured by his uncle, the celebrated ceramic artist Feruccio Mengaroni.For much of his career and life his was based in the town of Urbino. He also trained in Pesaro, Faenza, Venice, Ascoli and Picino. He won the prize for ceramic art at Faenza in 1931.
