Japanese Meiji period, circa 1890, globular form Satsuma pottery lidded jar decorated with two large panels containing arrays of florals and flying birds divided by scroll and lattice borders and extensive hand painted features. Below this is a coiled dragon in high relief, all raised on a dome base with four feet. The lid features a seated foo dog. Measures 17.5"H x 9"W.
