Dust jacket with a few visible edge damages is sealed in clear plastic, the original price is imprinted on the front flap; hard boards, original yellow cloth with elephant on the front cover, 9.1/4" x 8.1/4"; 77 pages, very good condition.

Jan Boyer Wahl (1931-2019) was an American children's author. He was a prolific author of over 120 works, and was known primarily for his award-winning children's books, including Pleasant Fieldmouse, The Furious Flycycle, and Humphrey's Bear. Wahl sometimes jokingly referred to himself as "Dr. Mouse," a nickname given him by a young fan.
Jeffrey Winslow Higginbottom (1945-2006) was American artist and designer. He received a B.F.A. in Illustration and Design from Syracuse University in 1967 and a M.F.A. in Scenic and Costume Design from Yale University in 1970. He has worked as a designer on a wide variety of projects, from restaurants and Broadway shows to amusement parks, and illustrated 12 children's books.
