Description
Seven Northeastern Painted Tin Wares, Nineteenth Century. Some probably Connecticut or Pennsylvania, rolled and soldered edges, variously painted in red and yellow with flowers, berries, leaves and swags, and comprising a teapot, three syrup pitchers, a spice or nutmeg grater, a sander or pounce pot and a small cylindrical box. Teapot: H: 5.625 in., W: 3.375 in., D: 9.625 in. Provenance: Syrup pitcher painted with a flower on each side, Herbert Schiffer Antiques, Exton, Pennsylvania; the Collection of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Schorsch, no. 3051.
