The first a paraffin hand lantern, fitted with a green glass lens on the door and red and clear lenses on the sides, the wick marked "SHERWOODS SOUND LIMITED," marked "GR centering a crown/ 5-1940/ SNLW LTD.," the second with a single candle nozzle; one hanging lantern marked "STARBOARD," the other unmarked.
