Description
Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery vessels, an apple-shaped jar and a tapered bowl. The yellow-orange jar features black-painted linear motifs across the exterior while the bowl exhibits an undecorated russet hue. Size of largest: 6" W x 6.25" H (15.2 cm x 15.9 cm)

Provenance: private Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA collection, inherited via grandfather, who collected before 1980

Condition
Stabilization to fissure on bowl. Chip to rim of jar, with pitting to both vessels, and light fading to pigment, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to overall forms.
