Description
Pair of Bazilian Silverplated Brass or Nickel Silver Commemorative Military Stirrups, Late Nineteenth Century. Each side of the stirrup cast and repousse with the Brazilian emblem of a star within ribbon-tied coffee and tobacco leaves, above a banner inscribed with the motto "ESTADOS UNIDOS DO BRAZIL," above a second banner inscribed "15 de Novembre de 1889," (the words mostly polished or worn away). H: 6 in., W: 4.75 in., D: 1 in.
