The trunk is 19th century American, made of well aged pine wood with steel straps throughout. The trunk has been restored and refinished some years ago and presents very well though finish has worn and aged. Retains it's original lock and hardware, though the lock and one of the rear hinges are broken.

Estate Auction Notice for Roxbury, CT Estate

All of the items in this auction are located on-site at the physical estate in Roxbury, CT. It is required that all items to be picked up on Friday 4/26/2024, Saturday 4/27/2024, and Sunday 4/28/2024. Pickup is by appointment only and available between 10 am and 3 pm, with no exceptions. Items not picked up by 3pm on 4/28 WILL be considered abandoned and left at the estate, we will not have access to abandoned items, you will not receive a refund of any kind! You will be sent a scheduling link after the auction to book your pickup time.

- SHIPPING ADVISORY: Before bidding, please get quotes for shipping your items. Be aware that shipping can be expensive; for instance, a $10 item could cost $100 to ship! Shipping arrangements must be made through a third-party shipper. We do not provide any in-house shipping options. For detailed information regarding shipping and available shippers, please refer to Lot #2 in the auction catalog. We will not give your items to a shipper OR remove them from the estate unless YOU let us know ahead of time. Shipping request MUST be made BEFORE end of day on Thursday 4/25

- ALTERNATIVE PICKUP OPTIONS: For those who cannot make the pickup dates, we can setup a different pickup date or if you would like to pickup from our Oakville CT Gallery instead, we offer a service to transport your purchases back to our gallery in Oakville, CT, for pickup at a later date. However, this is an additional cost service. To use our transport service, you must contact the auctioneer immediately after the auction BEFORE end of day on Thursday 4/25. After transport customer have 2 weeks to pickup their purchases, minimum transport fee is $25 per lot.
