Justin Mccarthy Folk Art Mixed Media Drawings, "COPS". Sixteen panel drawings on paper in colored pencil or crayon, with gouache, of policemen in various shapes and sizes, signed lower right by the self-taught artist Justin McCarthy (Pennsylvania 1891-1977.) The back is stamped and signed from the Strauser Collection; Dorothy and Sterling Strauser first collected and promoted McCarthy’s work after seeing it in an art show in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1962.
