Description
A spelter sculpture after the original bronze sculpture, Nicholas I on horseback, 1850, by Piotr Karlovich Klodt von Jurgensburg, Russian, 1805 to 1867. Mounted on a figural base featuring engraved ornaments on the sides. Mounted on a rectangular shaped marble stand. Pyotr Karlovich Klodt was a favourite sculptor of Nicholas I of Russia.
