Color serigraph print on paper by Michael Jay Knigin, 1942 to 2011, an American artist. The artwork represents a female portrait in Japanese woodblock style against the black-and-white photograph of an American city. Signed by the artist and dated 1981 in the lower right. Marked AP, Artists Proof, and titled Woman Playing a Poppin after Utamaro in the lower left. Kitagawa Utamaro,?1753 to 1806, was a Japanese artist of ukiyo-e woodblock print genre who is best known for his bijin okubi-e, so-called large-headed pictures of beautiful women of the 1790s.
