A lawyer by training and a great lover of photography to which he has dedicated his life both as an author and as a curator, Giuseppe Cavalli first founded the Circolo Fotografico la Bussola in Milan, signing its famous manifesto in 1947. In this manifesto he highlighted Croce's aesthetics. Later on he moved to Senigallia in the Marche region, where he founded Circolo Fotografico Misa, frequented by authors of the calibre of Mario Giacomelli and Ferruccio Ferroni. His photography, always inspired by the Croce’a vision, is characterised by the choice of a black and white print of great delicacy.
