Howard Post is a widely celebrated artist of the contemporary American West, creating striking compositions in oil and pastel. Post has been a lifelong resident of Arizona, growing up on a small ranch near Tucson, and riding in his first rodeo at age fourteen. He earned an M.F.A. at the University of Arizona and became a full-time artist by the late 1970s, and his works have become much sought-after by collectors.
