This lot contains an original oil painting by Haitian master Yves Michaud. Michaud painted intimate portraits of everyday life in Haiti until around 2000 when he began to adopt a new style. The artist attempted to reinvent himself under a new name Georges Desarmes because of this his original paintings have become more rare. The frame is in good vintage condition with light ware on the edges and a small chip in the top right corner. It is approx 17 1/4" x 21 1/4" and weights approx 5lbs.
