Double Fall Front Desk in rectangular form, set on arched legs, in satinwood with mahogany cross banding, ebony and boxwood stringing, the upper fall having the original leather writing surface, the lower fall concealing three ripple galleried shallow shelves; the front and back are upholstered in gold striped silk damask with matching gimp trim, although a key is included we could not get locks to function, the falls are held in their up position by later ball catches. 43 1/2" x 22" x 18" deep at the feet, cabinet is 3" deep. Some veneer loss, leather cracked and worn.
