Mid-19th c. Clock by W.S. Conant (No. 177 Pearl Street, New York), weight driven 8-day time and strike movement (with weights, pendulum and key), painted wooden dial with Roman numerals, mahogany case, single front door with scenic reverse painted lower section, maker's label affixed to interior back panel with "C.D. Storrs, Jan. 29, 1869" written in pencil, also with affixed service sticker (R.L. Elliott, Portland, ME, dated Oct. 10, 1923 and Aug. 6, 1929), 27 3/4" high, 17" x 4 1/2". Veneer losses, surface wear, back panel shrinkage crack; not observed running.
