French 1780 Handwritten Bulletin with Mention of John Paul Jones, H 8.5" W 6.25" | Dated January 19th, 1780. Unsigned. Three page French naval intelligence bulletin. Various subjects including a mention of one Paul Jones. Translation appears to read: Mr. de Bougainville has written to the Minister saying that he is retiring from service because he believes he has experienced an injustice. Everything is in place for us to have a Camp of 20 to 30,000 men between Brest and Landocaseau. The brave M. de Courdie did not Louy long - from his glory he died on the 9th.
