A square Indus valley stone seal featuring a stylised mythological winged and horned goat facing left. This creature is represented in profile on four distinct legs connected to a tubular body with long neck. On the reverse side there is a depiction of a seated goddess naked.
Size: 27mm x 25mm; Weight: 10g
Provenance: From a private collection of a London doctor, previously acquired from an established London collection, C.M.; formerly in Sultani family collection, Mayfair, London, early 1990s; acquired between 1960s-1990s. Studied by Prof. Lambert in the 1990s.
