Ca. 1400 - 1100 BC.
A Cassite hard stone cylinder seal depicting a standing figure. The figure's hair is done up in a bun at the back of the head and they raise their left hand. In front of him is a gazelle above the horns of a ram. A five line cuneiform inscription features on the upper portion of the cylinder. Accompanied by a signed scholarly note by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert. For similar see: The Walters Art Museum, Accession Number: 42.619.

Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formerly with a Mayfair Art dealer S.A.; Ex. 1990s London collections, studied and catalogued by professor Lambert in the early 90s (with original note, signed by him). Previously in an old British collection formed since the 1960s.
