A Neo-Babylon carnelian cylinder seal depicting an archer wearing a long dress and approaching a mythological winged animal. A lunar crescent and stars can be seen in the sky. Accompanied by a signed scholarly note by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert. For similar see: Christie's Live Auction 8890 Antiquities, Lot. 287.

Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formerly with a Mayfair Art dealer S.A.; Ex. 1990s London collections, studied and catalogued by professor Lambert in the early 90s (with original note, signed by him). Previously in an old British collection formed since the 1960s.
